For Dr. Philippe Cotten, dental surgeons have proven that they have the necessary skills to practice one of the most demanding specialties in terms of manual skill.
They work in an extremely small space, measuring 3 to 4 cm in height, width and depth. Working on a living being, they must deal with constantly moving elements such as the tongue and cheeks, and with patients who are likely to move at any time. This requires exceptional mastery, great dexterity and extraordinary skills.
Dr. Cotten emphasizes that all those who have trained in this profession must be proud of their career and their specialty.
He says:
Personal and professional development can be hindered by a lack of self-confidence or a lack of adequate support. “Everyone knows or has known this, including me. I learned to have confidence in myself when I had doubts. I have raised my level of competence through training, including personal development, to better serve my patients and improve the quality of life for myself, as well as that of my family and loved ones."
